LOS ANGELES - LA 2024 today released new renderings of its proposed stand-alone venues - including the Olympic, Paralympic, and Media Villages - on the last stop of its virtual venue tour.

The hallmark of LA 2024's high tech, low risk, and sustainable bid is the use of LA’s existing world-class venues. By relying on Southern California's wealth of top sports, housing and transportation infrastructure, LA 2024 will minimize construction risk, operational struggles and costs, and can focus on providing athletes with the perfect stage to perform their best, without distraction.

The Olympic and Paralympic Village will be located on UCLA’s existing state-of-the-art facilities, which already serve more than 16,000 residents each year in their modern and beautifully-designed residences.

The Media Village will be located on USC’s world-class campus and the Main Press Center will be located inside the cutting-edge Annenberg School for Communication. Both universities are ranked among the top 25 universities in the nation and their superb campus environments, housing, dining and athletic facilities have helped attract the most accomplished students and athletes from around the world. The competition stand-alone venues were chosen following extensive consultation and collaboration with their respective International Federations and National Governing Bodies, as well as experienced venue owners and operators, guaranteeing a world-class field of play and stunning settings for every sport. Like the rest of the venues in Sports Parks, the stand-alone venues will be serviced by bus, rail, or a shuttle link.

LA 2024 stand-alone venues include:

· Olympic and Paralympic Village
· Media Village and Main Press Center
· Pauley Pavilion - Judo, Wrestling, Sitting Volleyball
· Santa Monica Beach - Beach Volleyball

LA 2024 Chairman Casey Wasserman said: “I am excited to share renderings of LA 2024's world-class stand-alone competition venues and Villages at USC and UCLA. The LA 2024 Games Plan places sports where they fit best in Southern California, engaging communities across the region, not just in our four sports parks.
Our goal is to immerse all Games attendees in the rich culture, iconic sites and breathtaking natural beauty of LA as we invite the world to Follow the Sun.”
