Who will become the 52nd Modern Pentathlon World Champion?

The showpiece of the Modern Pentathlon calendar, the 2012 UIPM World Championships is about to begin.
The Championships are being held in Rome, Italy on 7-13 May 2012 where over 200 Pentathletes from every continent will fight for the honour of becoming World Champion.
The 52nd UIPM World Championships takes on extra significance, as it also serves as a qualification event for the 2012 London Olympic Games. The top 3 athletes who have not already qualified all obtain direct qualification for the Games which is less than 100 days away.
The Championships will be held at both the Aquaniene Club (swimming) where the 2009 FINA World Championships were held and the historic Tor di Quinto Military Hippodrome (fencing, riding and combined event) where a big crowd is expected to witness the world's best all round athletes.
UIPM Secretary General Joël Bouzou: "UIPM always loves coming to Rome and this will not be an exception. This World Championships will be special to all of us, as we are starting the celebration of Modern Pentathlon's 100 year anniversary in the Olympic movement with a gala dinner and a walk of fame. This together with intense competition for the 3 Olympic qualification spots and breath taking facilities, Rome 2012 will certainly be one to remember.
After a strong year, the Russian team will be looking to continue their dominance. Double Olympic Champion Andrei Moiseev (RUS) will be vying to be the first man in 14 years to defend his World Championships title after Sebastian Deleigne of France achieved this in 1997 and 1998.
"This will be a great honor for me to repeat this feat. However I will have to be at my very best form to do it!" says the Big Russian.
His team mates of World #1 Aleksander Lesun, 2008 World Champion Ilia Frolov & 2010 World Champion Serguei Karyakin will make it tough for Moiseev to repeat his gold medal triumph from Moscow, Russia last year last year.
The trio of World #5 Pavlo Tymoshchenko (UKR), 2009 World Champion Adam Marosi (HUN) and the inform local hope Nicola Benedetti (ITA) will lead the charge against the strong Russian team to make sure the gold does not go to a Russian for only the 2nd time in the last 5 years.
Triple World Champion Amelie Caze (FRA) will be looking to equal the great Eva Fjellerup's (DEN) record of 4 World Championship titles in Rome. Not many will bet against 27 year old after making a miraculous recovery from injury winning World Cup #3, where she was still not at full fitness.
As always, Olympic Champion Lena Schoneborn (GER) will go head to head with Caze battling for gold. The World Championships is the only crown that the World #1 does not yet have and victory here will give her confidence a massive boost heading into her Olympic defence in London.
2011 World Champion Victoria Tereshuk (UKR) and World #2 Laura Asadauskaite (LTU) will be leading the contenders to topple the power couple of Caze & Schoneborn.
As well as individual honours, the athletes will also be battling for relay glory with a Women, Men's & Mixed relays all taking place between 6-9 May 2012. This is a chance for the nations to portray their strength in depth and for rivals to become team mates in the quest for gold.
Fans around the world will have the chance to watch these, and other great athletes and share in the excitement of Modern Pentathlon. The UIPM will broadcast the finals days live on Pentathlon TV @ on 12-13 May 2012.  The broadcast will feature highlights of the fencing and swimming events as well as live coverage of the riding and combined event.
