PERTH, December 19th, 2011: This past weekend marked the finish of the KB4girls foundations second successful season when 25 female kiters came together in Rockingham, just south or Perth/Western Australia, to improve their riding, empower each other and raise funds for the Aim For The Stars Foundation.

Sunny skies and steady winds set the stage for 2 amazing days of kiting, coaching, on-water-demonstrations and a lot of fun for all participants. Australian pro-riders Shannon Ducker, Chrissy Gaudieri and Michelle England did a fantastic job coaching the participants all weekend alongside KB4girls founder and 9x world champion Kristin Boese. The motivation amongst the participants was huge and the excitement visible as everyone learned new tricks and skills to add to their repertoire.

In result many happy faces could be seen in front of the Safety Bay Yacht club, who hosted the clinic, on Sunday afternoon. It was then and there when the clinic officially closed with an award ceremony in which Calina Montebello and Cristiana Chessa were honored the most improved riders of the event. Annie Bryce, who had flown in all the way from Melbourne to join the event, won a KB signature board from Best Kiteboarding for being the participant that raised the most funds for the Aim For The Stars Foundation.

At this point a total of 2075 $ has been raised for Layne Beachleys "Aim For The Stars Foundation" that supports females allover Australia on their way to success through their grant program. The participants' personal fundraising pages will stay active until December 31, 2011 and any additional donation received before the date will add to the funds raised for the partner charity.

Nicolea Paull, head oft he local organization, had the following to say about the weekend: "The kiting community, especially other women kiters, have been invaluable in helping me enjoy and progress in this sport since I started out as a very slow-learner 5 years ago, and I think it is my karma to pay it forward in this way. It has been a great pleasure for me to see all the women have a fantastic time this weekend, both on and off the water, which is what makes all the effort over the last year worthwhile."

The KB4girls event in Rockingham was supported by the City of Rockingham, WAKSA, Angostura, WA Surf, the Safety Bay Yacht Club, Kitegirl Magazine, Hive Swimwear, Adrenaline Board Sports, Rockingham Holiday Village and the Department of Environment and Conservation.

A huge thanks goes out to the local organization team, coaches and volunteers Nicolea Paull, Shannon Ducker, Christine Gaudieri, Michelle England, Nathan Ducker, Tim Savage, Craig Ey, Chris De Young, Lou Ey, Rick Price and Paul Smyth.

The KB4girls foundation and their worldwide tour is supported by Best Kiteboarding, DaKine, Baby-G and Vitamizzer.
