Diadora Kicks Off Expanded NET Breathing System Line For Spring 2012

Following on the heels of its June retail introduction of two performance soccer shoes with NET Breathing System technology, Diadora is expanding the platform into a broader product range for Spring 2012.

Kent, WA - July 27, 2011 - Following on the heels of its June retail introduction of two performance soccer shoes with NET Breathing System technology, Golden Viking Sports, LLC, the exclusive U.S. licensee of Diadora soccer footwear, apparel and accessories, is expanding the platform into a broader product range for Spring 2012. The proprietary outsole technology, which allows feet to breathe while keeping moisture, mud and debris out of the shoe, will be featured in the Evoluzione K Pro GX 14 (SRP $160) performance boot, the DD FHIVE N IDX indoor shoe (SRP $85), and the DD FHIVE N TFX turf model (SRP $85) for Spring 2012.

The Evoluzione K Pro GX 14 has a water-resistant, soft kangaroo upper obtained via a special tanning procedure that results in a smooth, lightweight unfinished full grain leather. The unpadded upper is then coupled with a light microfiber fabric lining, and the collar includes a High Grip Zone anti-slip rear liner. The outsole features multi-density polyurethane with 14 fixed studs, a NET Breathing System membrane, and a bi-density Axeler system that provides forefoot propulsion and midfoot stability.

The DD FHIVE N IDX indoor shoe and the DD FHIVE N TFX turf shoe both offer the NET Breathing System as well as Axeler heel propulsion technology that aids in shock absorption and limits midsole torsion. A High Grip Zone in the heel reduces pressure and helps prevent blisters, and a breathable mesh upper has been reinforced with a heat-sealed overlay. Suede inserts reinforce the ball-striking areas.

The NET Breathing System features a breathable, waterproof membrane that is specifically structured to expel excess heat through the sole of the shoe while keeping moisture, mud and debris out. The complete system includes a full-length anatomic perforated insole that sits above an impermeable waterproof breathable membrane. These in turn sit atop a synthetic fiber protection net that is attached to a special perforated outsole. The result is a performance soccer boot that truly allows feet to breathe, thereby contributing to improved levels of performance, endurance, precision and, of course, comfort.
