Sasha DiGuilian wins Gold, Silver and Team USA ranked 2nd overall.

Sasha DiGiulian claimed the Gold Medal in Women’s combined at the International Federation of Sport Climbing World Championships in Arco, Italy on Sunday after winning the Silver Medal in Bouldering and placing 8th in Lead.

Team USA wins Gold, Silver and Team USA ranked 2nd overall.

Arco, Italy - Sasha DiGiulian claimed the Gold Medal in Women’s combined at the International Federation of Sport Climbing World Championships in Arco, Italy on Sunday after winning the Silver Medal in Bouldering and placing 8th in Lead. Anna Stöhr of Austria won the Silver Medal in Women’s combined by winning the Gold in Bouldering and placing 29th in Lead.

“We are very excited about the performance of our team at the World Championships. We are just beginning to showcase the spectacular athletes in the United States. ” said U.S. National Team Coach Claudiu Vidulescu.

Sasha DiGiulian has competed in USA Climbing events since an early age. She is the current National and Pan American Champion in Lead Climbing and was third at bouldering national championships in 2011.
