Tampa, London, Berlin, July 12th, 2011: This past weekend the KB4girls 0211 World tour gathered together female kiters in Germany for their charity event and advanced kite clinic in Saal at the Saaler Bodden on the German Baltic Sea.
Participants came together from all over Germany as well as Poland and Switzerland to improve their riding with 9 x World Champion Kristin Boese as well as their other pro coaches Nina Schumacher and Svelte Koch.
In exchange for their participation the female participants raised funds for the Silke Gorldt Association as well as the Surfrider Foundation Europe and collected a total of 2100 Euro splitting 50% to be allocated to each charitable organization.
During the event, the Silke Gorldt association's board members Thomy and Heike gave an in-depth view on how the association supports young kiters with their camp and how the association was founded after Silke's unfortunate accident in 2002. The association's very special approach to teach safe kiting and promote the social side of the sport was applauded by all participants who felt honored to have raised funds for such a worthy and noble cause.
The Surfrider Foundation Europe is a non profit organization, dedicated to defend, save and improve the ocean and coastline. This starts with environmental education of children by the foundation's members at schools.
The event itself was packed with action on the water as well as activities on the beach. On day one Kristin Boese performed a safety briefing followed by an on-water-demonstration that included a progression of tricks for all participants.
Right after the demonstration the female kiteboarders hit the water themselves and first tried some new tricks before taking advantage of the SUP boards when the wind dropped later in the afternoon.
On the following days the girls had more chances to learn new moves and show their coaches their motivation and enthusiasm. Even though the conditions were not always perfect the vibe of the event and excitement to practice the tricks that they tried out on the simulator on the morning of day 2 was so strong that nobody wanted to stay on the beach.
Even though they finished the days tired in the evenings the female kiteboarders enjoyed the social times including a sushi evening supplied by SurpremeSurf.de as well as the BBQ and buffet sponsored by Best kiteboarding.
Yvonne from Yoga & Sound Rostock topped of the last day of the event with a very relaxing and rejuvenating yoga lesson that was well received relaxing the tired muscles and joints of the kiteboarding girls.
Participants from 14 to 44 years had a blast together and 14-year old participant Annett Bremer states: "This was the second time at a KB4girls event for me. After last year's event I attended my first competitions with success. My best achievement was to win the race at the German Kite Trophy in Dahme. This year's event brought me forward again, and I'm really keen to go on to the next competitions. It's great to learn from the other female kiters and to push each other forward."
Many congratulations go out to the "best learned trick" winners Angel Tyrakowska, Angela Villinger and Annett Bremer as well as to Silke Gorldt Spirit Award recipient Inga Wobker and to fundraising queen Silke Noll.
Special thanks to everyone that helped to make this event possible and special for the female participants including, SupremeSurf.de and team, Tramontana Grafixx, Best Kiteboarding, Nina Schumacher, Svelte Koch and Silke Gorldt Surfing e.V.
The KB4girls Foundation and the 2011 World Tour are supported by Best Kiteboarding, DaKine and Baby-G.

About KB4girls
KB4girls is a non-profit worldwide clinic tour for female kiteboarders that was launched in November 2009 by Kristin Boese. While the tour gives female athletes from around the world the chance to get together for a fun time together it also motivates them to push their kiteboarding skills to the next level and possibly start to compete in kiteboarding.
Another goal of the KB4girls events is to support the Surfrider Foundation Europe and the protection of the oceans and beaches. While registration fees are being donated to the Foundation educational materials are being supplied in return and given out to all participating girls, teaching them about their precious playgrounds and how to possibly help to protect them.
