HORFA 2011: The China International Horse Fair has joined the list of sponsors supporting Super Ride IX: The 2011 United States Equestrian Drill Championship (USEDC). The competition continues through Saturday (June 25) at the Texas Rose Horse Park, near Lindale, Texas (USA).

"This is an important milestone, consistent with the globalization of equestrian sport - and the resurgence of drill riding on the international stage", says Gary Bonner, Executive Director of the United States Equestrian Drill Association.  "We look forward to working closely with HORFA, and other key international partners, for many years to come."

"It is with honour and much humility that the HORFA - China International Horse Fair salutes this distinguished equestrian competition", says Jane Wang, Director of HORFA.  "We are happy to work with The United States Equestrian Drill Association, and hope to enjoy a productive long-term relationship with the Super Ride. I wish Super Ride IX a complete success!"

Banners and printed materials promoting the China International Horse Fair will be prominently on display during the championship rounds of Super Ride IX.

The deal was brokered by SportsQuest International, LLC, longtime media advisors to the United States Equestrian Drill Championship.

HORFA China International Horse Fair ( HORFA 2011) will be held October 28 - 30 at the East Asia Exhibition Hall in Shanghai.  The largest and most prestigious equestrian expo in China, HORFA encompasses a conference, trade fair and multi-disciplined equestrian competition.

According to the organizers, HORFA attracted 40 commercial exhibitors from 12 countries in its successful 2010 debut.  The exhibition featured 14 horse breeds including Thoroughbreds, Warmbloods, Arabians, Mini horses and Akhal-Tekes (a national emblem of Turkmenistan).  The conference covered all related service sectors including equine transportation, harness and saddle manufacturing, horse related art, racecourse design, veterinary medicine and equine dentistry.

A number of internationally known enterprises including Inglis Bloodstock (Australia), KWPN (Studbook of the Royal Dutch Sport Horse), Mystica Arabians (Australia), Kentucky Equine Research (USA), IRT (the global horse transportation enterprise), Hy Gain Feeds Pty Ltd. (Australia), the VDL Stud (The Netherlands),  The Alberta Equestrian Federation (Canada) and Timothy Court and Company (Australia based architects to the global equine and leisure industry) gathered in Shanghai to showcase first-class horses and services. Organizers note with pride that HORFA has brought the first high-quality equestrian show of the modern era to Shanghai.  In 2010, 55 riders participated in competitions at Shanghai East Asia Stadium.

For 2011, HORFA organizers are making important upgrades to the content of the expo - in an effort to further increase the global scope of the China International Horse Fair.  International conferences concerning the equine industry and horse sport will be organized in conjunction with this October's event.  Additionally, high profile social gatherings including the 'World Outstanding Horse-Owners Night Gala' and a 'Dancing Horse at Shanghai Bund' party will contribute to the overall ambiance of a comprehensive, multinational 'festival of horse lovers'.

The United States Equestrian Drill Association (USEDA) is the national sanctioning body for mounted drill and color guard competitions in the United States of America. The USEDA is an affiliate of the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) and an Organizational Member of the American Horse Council (AHC).

The United States Equestrian Drill Championship (Super Ride) has grown from the efforts of the USEDA to organize a consolidated annual national championship event that showcases the very best that the sport has to offer. The competition provides an attractive, first class vehicle for sponsors, underwriters and affiliated entities.

Highlighted by live coverage of the USEDC Ride of Champions on Friday evening, June 24 and the USEDC Open Division National Championship on Saturday, June 25, webcasts from Super Ride IX will be available worldwide via an ad hoc network of horse focused websites including:
