SPORTACCORD CONVENTION SELECTS ICONIC QUEBEC HOTEL
LAUSANNE, Switzerland - The SportAccord Convention announced today that the main hotel for next year’s event in QuĂ©bec will be the famous Fairmont Le Château Frontenac.
Designated as a National Historic Site of Canada, the Château Frontenac is within easy walking distance of the QuĂ©bec City Convention Centre in the heart of North America’s only walled city, where the SportAccord Convention will take place from May 20-25, 2012.
“The unique character of the city of QuĂ©bec has encouraged us to hold our event next year in a convention centre rather than a hotel venue,” said Anna Hellman, SportAccord Convention executive director. “We will have the best of both worlds, with both abundant space and a sense of intimacy to encourage networking. The historic Château Frontenac is practically synonymous with QuĂ©bec and makes a perfect complement to the Convention Centre, which is recognised as one of the very best in the world.”
Held in a different city every year, the SportAccord Convention celebrates its tenth anniversary in 2012. The Convention features top-level conference sessions and a dynamic exhibition as well as the annual general meetings of governing bodies of world sport.
