The Performance Days trend fair on the Annecy 2018 playing field

The Performance Days trend fair, Europe's first roadshow entirely dedicated to sports accessories, will visit Annecy-le-Vieux on 12th and 13th May, supported by Outdoor Sports Valley, a group of businesses which specialize in outdoor sports.

Outdoor Sports Valley is a trade group which represents the outdoor, mountain and winter sliding sports industries in the alpine region, from Grenoble to Innsbruck. It is defined by its economic activities, and its borders are open and constantly changing. The expression "Outdoor Sports Valley" refers to a region which counts tens of thousands of sports and leisure industry employees, the headquarters of most companies in the sector, professional training courses, and above all a playing field like no other.

This economic structure is a part of the driving force of the Annecy 2018 bid, which is fully integrated into the region's socio-economic paradigm, with its emphasis on innovation and preparing for the future.

Antoine Dénériaz, Annecy 2018 sporting ambassador:

"We are thrilled to see how enthusiastic international outdoor sports representatives are about our region. Our aim is to become a region of excellence for outdoor sports, because sports and nature are in the Savoie-Mont Blanc region's DNA. We will open this unique playing field to all athletes if Annecy is chosen to host the 2018 Winter Games in Durban on 6th July, and will host eco-friendly Games in a region with a historic focus on sports and respect for the environment."
