Swimming Canada partners with CBC and SRC for Broadcast of World Trials
VICTORIA, BC (Tuesday, March 29th, 2011) - Swimming Canada is proud to announce that long time host broadcast partners CBC (Canadian Broadcast Corporation) and SRC (Société Radio Canada) will bring the 2011 World Trials events into the homes of Canadians.
The Canadian swimming trials for the 2011 World Championships team will take place in Victoria, BC at the Saannich Commonwealth Pool from March 30th to April 2nd.
“CBC and SRC have a rich heritage of covering the sport of swimming both domestically and internationally. We are very excited to once again welcome them in our pool and work with their team in creating great coverage of the 2011 World Championships Trials,” said Martin Richard, Director of Communications for Swimming Canada.
Thru their main national English and French networks CBC and SRC will bring you the highlights of the 4-day, action packed, swimming event.
CBC coverage will air on Saturday, April 2nd from 4 to 6pm and Saturday April 9th 12-1pm EST. In addition to their television broadcast, CBC will partner with Swimming Canada in providing a live web stream of finals on their website at cbc.ca.
SRC will also bring a French television broadcast of the event that will be aired on Saturday April 9th between 2-3:30pm EST.
Live Streaming: CBC.ca and SwimCanWeb.tv will host live webcasts of finals on their respective websites.
