Avalanche Skiwear and USA Luge Announce Partnership

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. - Avalanche Skiwear and USA Luge announced a three-year partnership, which will run through the spring of 2014, and provide the team with outerwear.

Avalanche Skiwear, based in Quebec City, Canada, is being named the official outerwear provider of USA Luge. The athletes and staff members of USA Luge will receive a full complement of clothing for a variety of weather situations. In addition to enhanced branding on all team outerwear, Avalanche will receive logo exposure on the team’s racing gear.

The agreement, which will run up to the next winter games in 2014, will ensure the athletes and staff members are appropriately protected from the weather during the luge season.

“As a winter sport, luge training and competitions take place in all kinds of weather conditions, ranging from rain to bitter cold,” said Gordy Sheer, director of marketing and sponsorship for USA Luge. “Avalanche will keep our team warm, dry and comfortable so they can focus on their racing. We’re thrilled and honored to be working together.”
