While continuing to pursue innovation in the digital arena, Dentsu is active in the production and marketing of sports, movies, anime and other entertainment content on a global scale. Since 1982, Dentsu has been intimately involved in numerous world-class sporting events, including the Olympic and Paralympic Games and the FIFA World Cup, and its current portfolio of properties includes the exclusive marketing rights for both FINA and the IAAF.

As the Networker Sponsor, Dentsu will utilise its unique collection of expertise and contacts from countless global, continental, and domestic projects and events to help bring the global sports community together.

“We are delighted to be the Networker Sponsor of the SportAccord International Convention 2011.  After the success of our involvement at the SportAccord Convention last year, we were eager to partner with this hugely influential event. Through our varied experience in different areas of sports marketing, we feel that Dentsu is ideally positioned to connect some of the most influential figures in sport together, and we are honoured that we have been entrusted to support the platform upon which the global sports community can interact and grow.”  Kiyoshi Nakamura, Director of the Sports Division, Dentsu Inc.

In addition to its ever-growing Sports Division in Tokyo, Dentsu has established sports business operations in key overseas locations.  With bases in London, New York, Beijing and Singapore, Dentsu continues to develop its sports business on an even wider global scale.  The SportAccord International Convention will be the first time that all of the agencies within the Dentsu Global Sports Network have assembled in order to attend a single event.

Anna Hellman, Executive Director of the SportAccord Convention said, “This new partnership with Dentsu is a great indicator of how the SportAccord Convention has developed over the years. It is fantastic to be the first host of the Dentsu Global Sports Network meeting, and we are grateful for their support of the NetWorker, which is now an extremely well-used tool by participants to connect and pre-arrange meetings before arriving at the Convention to maximise their time on site. We welcome Dentsu as the latest partner in our commercial programme.”

The SportAccord International Convention 2011 will be held at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel, London from the 3rd - 8th April.
