SPORTACCORD CONVENTION 2011 IS SOLD OUT

LAUSANNE, Switzerland - The SportAccord Convention announced today that all delegate places for the 2011 event in London are now sold out. Coming one month ahead of the ninth annual edition, it is the earliest sell-out in the event’s history. The 2011 SportAccord Convention will take place from April 3-8 at the Park Plaza Westminster Bride Hotel.

“We are of course delighted to be sold out again, especially so early, although it’s unfortunate that we will not be able to accommodate everyone who wants to attend,” said Anna Hellman, executive director of the SportAccord Convention. “We are very concerned with preserving the exclusive networking environment we provide and therefore we put a ceiling of 1500 delegates on attendance.”

Held in a different city every year, the SportAccord Convention is taking place in London one year ahead of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The Convention features top-level conference sessions and a dynamic exhibition as well as the annual general meetings of governing bodies of world sport.
