Regular attendee and SportAccord Convention sponsor Masterconcept Consulting has been busy providing major event and city operational planning services to the 2014 Sochi Olympic Games Organising Committee, Russian Railways, the Transport Directorate for the Olympic Games 2014 and the city of Rio de Janeiro in collaboration with Doppelmayr lifts.

Since the 2010 SportAccord Convention in Dubai, Masterconcept has further developed their fully GIS linked Transport Macro Simulation Model (TSM 3.0), which serves as a very efficient tool to assess large scale transport scenarios and people flows.

The model is currently being used for assessing transport in the City of Sochi to simulate Olympic Games time transport scenarios. The model is also used for several other governmental transport consulting mandates in Austria, Germany and Brazil.

Delivering a very specialised solution, Masterconcept also builds up and manages large scale regional Geographic data bases and project data bases and developes WEB based GIS solutions, where clients and stakeholders can log on globally and work on large maps and project plans. This allows for highly efficient process management for large urban projects, for major event planning and city operational planning and a streamlined decision making process.

The extent of our work in Russia means we will be opening a new office in Moscow in the coming months.
