SportAccord appoints Sports Recruitment International (SRI) to recruit for top functions and further strengthen its organisation
In order to build on the success of the SportAccord multi-sports games and reacting to an increasing demand for services from Members, SportAccord has retained Sports Recruitment International to recruit a Director General
as well as a senior Manager Multi-Sports Games. Early 2011, SportAccord is going to further reinforce the Multi-Sports Games Department, the Doping-Free Sport Unit and the Sports’ Social Responsibility Department.
SportAccord is the umbrella organisation for both Olympic and non-Olympic international sports federations as well as organisers of sporting events. SportAccord’s mission is to unite and support its Members by encouraging and facilitating knowledge sharing and by providing expertise in relevant areas, such as Sports’ Social Responsibility, Sports’ Integrity, Doping-Free Sport and Digital Media. In addition, SportAccord promotes its Members and increases their visibility by establishing various multi-sports games that group together similar sports. End of August 2010, SportAccord has launched the first edition of the World Combat Games. The SportAccord World Mind Games and the SportAccord World Beach Games will follow 2011 and 2012. SportAccord has developed into a valuable service provider with President Hein Verbruggen stating that: “It is our mission to unite and support our Members.
