USA Climbing announces the IFSC Lead World Cup in USA

USA Climbing will host the IFSC Lead World Cup in Boulder, Colorado at Movement Climbing and Fitness, October 8-9, 2011. This event will bring more than 100 of the world's top climbers together in a first-rate venue.

Boulder, Colorado - USA Climbing will host the IFSC Lead World Cup in Boulder, Colorado at Movement Climbing and Fitness, October 8-9, 2011.  This event will bring more than 100 of the world's top climbers together in a first-rate venue in one of the premier cities for competition climbing.

“We are extremely excited to bring this prestigious international event to the City of Boulder, in partnership with an outstanding climbing venue in Movement Climbing + Fitness” said Peter Torcicollo, President of USA Climbing.

In addition to the world-class competition venue in Movement Climbing and Fitness and the spectacular Colorado scenery, Boulder is a magnet for climbing enthusiasts and industry organizations who can help support the needs of the IFSC World Cup.

“Hosting the IFSC World Cup will enhance the sport of climbing in the United States. It is an opportunity for our best athletes to compete in front of a home crowd at the highest level of international competition for the first time in over a decade.” added Keith Ferguson, Chief Executive Officer of USA Climbing.
