TAMPA/LONDON/BERLIN, November 4, 2010: Between December 3rd to 4th an extra KB4Girls 2010 World Tour event in Brighton beach has been added to the tour to support female kiters from Australia and around the world in a specifically targeted clinic focusing on coaching and preparing them for competitions.
While riders of all levels are welcome to join the event (minimum requirement going upwind) the goal is to motivate the girls and women participating in the event to start competing in kiteboarding competitions either long term or immediately, depending on their level of skills and kite riding.
With the final stop of the PKRA World Cup Tour taking place at Australia's Gold Coast from December 5th to 12th, 2010 the KB4girls participants will get the chance to take their new learned skills right into their first ever international competition.
Kristin Boese, founder of KB4girls says: "This is the first ever PKRA World Cup in Australia and I have been contacted by many female kiters in Australia that did not know what to expect or how to enter. Having the chance to compete in a world cup in their own country is new to them and many are excited. I want to help them to have a positive first experience on the international competition scene and also motivate those that are not that far along yet to push themselves further and hopefully join in the future."
But adding this KB4girls event to the schedule it would not have been possible without the amazing support of the local kite community. It is only with the help of Lyatte Peach, Kite Power and the Brighton Kite Club that all requirements could have been met and a great event for the girls and women can be carried out.
Lyatte Peach who has been passionate about bringing KB4girls to her home spot says: "After participating in the KB4girls clinic in Melbourne easier this year, I took away a lot from the experience - confidence, knowledge and friendships that will last a lifetime. I am so proud to be supporting other women in the sport by helping Kristin to set up this event and to join as an instructor this time too."
And it will be thanks to Kitepower Queensland and the Brighton Kite Club that have teamed up to support this non-profit, female-only event that the participants are going to enjoy boat support, drinks and snacks on the beach, a BBQ in the evening and more.
Jon from Kitepower says: "We're very excited to have such a positive event happening in QLD. It's always great to see the girls out there riding and a clinic like this just pushes everyone to ride better and safer. This will be an awesome event for sure!"
Registration will be open at http://www.kb4girls.com until November 26th, 2010 and will be limited to 30 girls and women. Cost of the event will be 30 AUS$ that will go towards the Surfrider Foundation Europe, a partner of KB4girls that strives to protect oceans and beaches around the world.

###
About KB4girls KB4girls is a non-profit worldwide clinic tour for female kiteboarders that was launched in November 2009 by Kristin Boese. While the tour gives female athletes from around the world the chance to get together for a fun time together it also motivates them to push their kiteboarding skills to the next level and possibly start to compete in kiteboarding. Another goal of the KB4girls events is to support the Surfrider Foundation Europe and the protection of the oceans and beaches. While registration fees are being donated to the Foundation educational materials are being supplied in return and given out to all participating girls, teaching them about their precious playgrounds and how to possibly help to protect them.
