PEACE AND SPORT IMAGE OF THE YEAR AWARD - ONE WEEK LEFT TO APPLY!

New deadline is October 1st 2010 - be sure to get your submissions in on time!


The Peace and Sport Awards reward initiatives and individuals who have outstandingly contributed to peace and social stability in the world, in areas that have been made vulnerable due to poverty, the aftermath of conflict or lack of social cohesion.

Each year, Peace and Sport gives an award for a particularly symbolic image illustrating the power of sport to reconcile and unite over and above differences.

Submit your photograph before 1st October and you may be the winner of the next Peace and Sport Image of the Year 2010!

This prize is awarded for a photograph that has succeeded in integrating sport into the global agenda for peace.

It is given in partnership with SPORTELMonaco, the benchmark event for sports content in Television and New Media, and revealed during the George Bertelotti Golden Podium Awards evening at SPORTELMonaco on 12 October, 2010.

NEW! For the first time, from 1 - 11 October 2010, the public will be able to vote for their favorite image from a selection of nominated photos on the Peace and Sport website http://www.peace-sport.org.

Beauty, the strength of the moment, the symbolic quality ... everyone has their own criteria!

The photograph that receives the most votes from the public and members of the Jury (according to an equalization system) will be designated the "Peace and Sport Image of the Year" and will receive the Award on 2nd December 2010 during the Peace and Sport Awards Ceremony in Monaco.
