TAMPA/LONDON/BERLIN, September, 2: With already 7 events accomplished this year and more than 200 girls coached worldwide, KB4girls is going full force, and has quickly made a name for itself in the kiteboarding world attracting new faces to the female competitions.

While KB4girls has basically consisted of Kristin and the local coaches and supporters so far the tour has now been able to recruit some professional support. As of the 1st of September, 2010 Nina Voelker has joined KB4girls as the new PR and Media coordinator. Nina, who is an avid kitesurfer herself and made contact with the tour when participating in the KB4girls event in Egypt earlier this year, is just as passionate about supporting other female kiters as Kristin herself and therefore will be the perfect addition to the tour.

Nina works in the international Marketing and Sales department at Philips Consumer Lifestyle and chose to join KB4girls voluntarily in her free time which is very much appreciated by Kristin and also all the girls.

"At the KB4girls event in Egypt it was amazing for me to feel the vibe on the water and with the group of kiting ladies that I realized pretty quickly that I wanted to give something back to the sport that got me so stoked. So I decided to offer my help to Kristin," smiles Nina Voelker.

More support for the KB4girls tour comes in form of cooperation with the IKA which is kitesurfings' governing body. With both sides working towards the same goals and ideals of supporting kiteboarding in any way possible this step came only naturally.

Markus Schwendtner, Executive Secretary of the IKA states: "We have been watching the KB4girls events for quite a while now and think it is a great initiative since it helps to bring more girls into the kiteboarding competitions. In a long run, especially if we are successful with the kiteboarding Olympic campaign, it is going to be important to have a strong fleet in both the male and female categories. With supporting KB4girls we can help to grow the sport in a healthy way and are very pleased about the initiative."

The IKA encourages their national associations to support KB4girls participants interested in joining their national competitions with benefits like remitted registration fees or similar. KB4girls on the other hand will include competition coaching and motivational training where and whenever possible.

Kristin Boese says: "Our cooperation with the IKA presents a great opportunity for all the KB4girls participants and with the support of the global and national associations I am sure we will be able to get even more girls motivated to compete. The IKA has done a lot for the sport of kiteboarding in the past years and I am very happy to see that they also pay attention to the females in the sport."

And yet another cooperation has been formed that will help KB4girls to keep the tour going. KB4girls and Tramontana Grafixx, a new company that produces print and advertising materials and that is specializing in the field of "Sky Branding" have joined forces.

"Sky Branding" is an innovative way of branding kites and other flying objects with a type of sticker made out of a special foil that is very durable but can also be reused for a while which makes it very attractive for both short and longterm advertising on the kites.

Andreas Velbinger from Tramontana Graffixx says: "I have been impressed with the KB4girls initiative from the beginning. The events are for girls and women only and specially fitted to their needs and that completely - and that completely non-profit. I did not have to think long if this is something I would want to support. We have not only found a great partner in KB4girls that we can support in their events but can also supply products to Kristin and the team that help to promote the tour as such while being able to get the word about our unique products out there at the same time."

Upcoming KB4girls events:
Hood River, USA   /  September 4th, 2010
Montauk/NY, USA / September 24th - 26th, 2010
Lancing, UK /  October 8th - 10th, 2010

About KB4girls
KB4girls is a non-profit worldwide clinic tour for female kiteboarders that was launched in November 2009 by Kristin Boese. While the tour gives female athletes from around the world the chance to get together for a fun time together it also motivates them to push their kiteboarding skills to the next level and possibly start to compete in kiteboarding.

Another goal of the KB4girls events is to support the Surfrider Foundation Europe and the protection of the oceans and beaches. While registration fees are being donated to the Foundation educational materials are being supplied in return and given out to all participating girls, teaching them about their precious playgrounds and how to possibly help to protect them.
