Women's Football: Zvezda coach Shek Borkowski slams Russian Football Union

Shek Borkowski is furious with the Russian Football Association (RFU) after discovering Ksenia Tsybutovich injury.

Russian women's football champion, Zvezda-2005, coach Shek Borkowski has launched a stinging attack on the RFU, alleging he was not informed about Ksenia Tsybutovich's injury she sustained while on international duty last week. Borkowski, whose side face league leaders Rossiyanka in Moscow Monday evening, was scathing about the RFU's handling of the player's injury.
"I think the Russian FA totally mishandled the situation," he said.
"The Russian Federation decided to keep Tsybutovich's injury secret for unknown reasons. She came back to us, the next day tried to have a run and gets a setback, and we have to deal with the consequences."
Borkowski claims the RFU have been "disrespectful" throughout the whole affair and feels there should have been more transparency over the player's injury.
