1 June, 2010, London - Leading figures have confirmed for the 2010 Global Sports Industry Congress. Speakers at the event, to take place on 1 November at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in London, will include:

• Paul Deighton, CEO, London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (2012)
• Dmitry Chernyshenko, CEO, Sochi Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (2014)
• Sergei Fursenko, President, Russian Football Union

• Heather Hancock, Lead Partner, London 2012, Deloitte
• Daniel Ritterband, Director of Marketing, Office of the Mayor of London

“Following the resounding success of the inaugural Global Sports Industry Congress in October 2009, we will once again bring together key decision makers in the world of sport”, said Simon Joseph, Programme Director for the conference. “There will be a special focus on ‘Emerging Sport Nations’, who are helping to radically change the shape of the industry.”

With a variety of panel formats, including roundtable discussions and onstage interviews, the Congress will look at a wide range of issues facing the sports industry, including the changing role of sponsorship in the current financial climate, sport tourism and destination development, risk management in new markets and the enormous opportunities offered by innovations in media technology.
