Celebration Exotic Car Festival Revs Into Hear Gear in 2010

Central Florida is gearing up for a four-day weekend of high-octane fun and entertainment for everyone. The 2010 Celebration Exotic Car Festival cruises into Orlando, April 15 – 18, 2010.

Celebration, FL - Central Florida is gearing up for a four-day weekend of high-octane fun and entertainment for everyone. The 2010 Celebration Exotic Car Festival cruises into Orlando, April 15 - 18, 2010, and it's bigger and better than ever.

Showcasing one of North America's largest collections of exotic cars, race cars and iconic Hollywood movie cars, this annual event is hosted by the Florida Region of the Ferrari Club of America, in support of Special Olympics Florida. More than 40,000 spectators are expected to attend.  During the four-day festival, visitors enjoy an array of events that range from rock concerts and celebrity appearances to gourmet food and wine tastings; exotic car Concours, rally and track events; fashion shows; a celebrity golf tournament and more.

"Festival attendees can enjoy up-close views of some of the world's rarest exotic cars and race cars, along with cars from the movies, including icons from Batman, Back to the Future and Ghostbusters. Whether you're a foodie, a car enthusiast, golfer, or music fan, there's something for everyone. It's a full-throttle weekend, all for a wonderful cause."

This year's Celebration Exotic Car Festival benefits Special Olympics Florida and its Young Athletes Program, which introduces sports activities and development skills to children with special needs between the ages of two and seven.

Downtown Celebration, Florida sets the stage for the festival's main event, the Concours of Exotic Cars, taking place on Saturday, April 17. Stroll Market Street's waterfront promenade among one of North America's largest gatherings of exotic cars, race cars and movie cars.  More than 250 ultra-exotic cars will be on display, including Lamborghini, Ferrari, Bugatti, Maserati, Pantera, Aston Martin and Lotus, as well as the Back To The Future DeLorean and the Lamborghinis from Cannonball Run and Dumb & Dumber. For families, enjoy Special Olympics athletic exhibitions and other activities, as well as charming shops, restaurants and outdoor cafés. Admission to the Concours is free for all attendees.

For exotic car owners, there are two track days as well as a challenge race for Ferrari Challenge cars at the historic Sebring Raceway. Drivers will experience the full 3.7-mile road course with the world's most exotic cars, alongside legendary Lamborghini factory test driver Valentino Balboni, Thursday, April 15 and Friday, April 16. Then, after the Concours, they'll cruise the scenic, open roads of Central Florida during the Exotic Car Road Rally, on Sunday, April 18.
