On this week’s ICC Cricket World, Ian Chappell talks about the honour of his induction into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame.

The former Australia captain said that looking at the list of other players in the Hall of Fame, which is run in association with FICA, made him feeling that he was part of something special.

“It’s great to be in the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame along with people like Andy Roberts. I had a lot of battles with Andy so to be there with him is a special feeling,” said Chappell.

The show can be used in whole or part by radio stations that want cricket content, while the public can also download it straight from the ICC website at http://icc-cricket.yahoo.net/media_interactive_zone/podcast.php.

Also on this week’s show, another Hall of Famer, Richard Hadlee, reveals his cricketing heroes.

“In the early days my hero was definitely Bert Sutcliffe,” he says. “But as time went on, the most influential player in my career was Dennis Lillee.”

In addition, England’s Michael Vaughan is interviewed on the show, revealing his career highs and lows.

“Well, I played for Yorkshire where Test cricket was more important than anything else so looking back on my career I don’t really have any regrets,” he says.

Apart from the above interviews, this week’s ICC Cricket World also includes a review of the current Australia tour of New Zealand, round-up of the last seven days in cricket and an update on the Reliance Mobile ICC Player Rankings.

The weekly ICC Cricket World audio show runs for 15 minutes and has been put together by the ICC’s global broadcast partner ESPN STAR Sports.
