SINGAPORE, March 10 – SPORTELAsia 2010, the international sports content market, wrapped up a successful 3-day gathering yesterday at the 5-star Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore.

SPORTELAsia 2010, the international sports content market, wrapped up a successful 3-day gathering yesterday at the 5-star Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore, with a total of 527 participants, representing 291 companies from 45 countries worldwide in attendance, it was announced today by David Tomatis, CEO of SPORTEL.
In making the announcement, Mr. Tomatis commented, “We are very pleased with the turnout and the reports from our clients that they had a busy and productive market."

In addition to the brisk level of business being conducted on the market floor, the SPORTEL program offered attendees:

- A presentation by the Singapore Youth Olympic Games Organising Committee that will host the Inaugural Youth Olympic Games in Singapore later this year;

- A presentation by the Singapore Sports Council on the sports media industry in Singapore.

- A workshop on Sports Content Licensing conducted by the renowned Singapore law firm of Rajah & Tann LLP; and

- The 1st Asian/Pacific Sport TV Audience Award presented by Médiamétrie/Eurodata TV.

Mr. Tomatis continued, “We wish to thank our partners at the SINGAPORE SPORTS COUNCIL and the SINGAPORE TOURISM BOARD for their invaluable assistance in making this inaugural SPORTELAsia in Singapore a success.
