Soccerex are delighted to announce the signing of a global partnership with Royal Bafokeng, the South African region where England have chosen to base themselves for their 2010 FIFA World Cup.

Located near Rustenberg, the platinum rich territory is home to The Bafokeng Sports Campus, England’s training camp for the 2010 FIFA World Cup and The Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace, the 42,000 seat stadium which will host England’s opening match against the United States on 12th June.

Royal Bafokeng were event partners of Soccerex during their 3 year tenure in South Africa and have now expanded their relationship to across Soccerex’s global portfolio of football business events. Niall Carroll, CEO of Royal Bafokeng Holdings, the entity responsible for the management and development of the commercial assets of the Royal Bafokeng Nation, commented:

“I am delighted to have signed this new partnership. Our relationship with Soccerex over the last three years has helped position Royal Bafokeng as an important player in South African football, but we want to be recognised as a key player worldwide and I see the extension of this relationship as key part of our global marketing strategy”.

Niall Carroll has confirmed his attendance for next week’s inaugural Soccerex European Forum in Manchester (2-3 March), where he will be joined by over 1000 senior football industry executives, including over 200 club representatives, members of the World Cup bid teams from England, Russia and Qatar and the ECA, who have chosen to coincide their General Assembly with the event.
