Dystribute.tv leads Video News Release revolution
Dystribute.tv’s unique new video download application is increasing web-based distribution for the Intercontinental Rally Challenge (IRC).
Eurosport Events is using Dystribute.tv for both the IRC - which started with the Rallye Automobile Monte Carlo in January - and this year's World Touring Car Championship (WTCC).
It joins a growing list of clients from a range of sectors using the application to deliver their Video News Releases (VNRs) to the media.
Formula One Team Force India F1 has also joined the video download revolution by revamping its website's Media Room to provide broadcast quality videos for download.
The Dystribute.tv system is embedded in the client's website, or any compliant website, and is transparently linked to material stored on the Dystribute.tv servers. Clients are able to password protect the material and receive full download reports.
The Dystribute.tv application is additionally being used by TV production companies and broadcasters to digitally showcase and deliver full broadcast quality programming and preview files, previously despatched on tape using ‘FTP’.
DVD retailers are also embracing the download revolution - Duke Video is using Dystribute.tv to sell and supply consumers with digital files, as an alternative to posting out packaged DVDs. All purchases are handled through its already established online shop and a small desktop application - which manages the download for customers - is also available.
