Statement From Dave Ogrean on Passing of Brendan Burke, Son of Brian Burke, General Manager of the U.S. Olympic Men's Ice Hockey Team

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Below is a statement from Dave Ogrean, executive director of USA Hockey, on the passing of Brendan Burke, son of Brian Burke, general manager of the 2010 U.S. Olympic Men’s Ice Hockey Team. Brendan, 21, died tonight in an automobile accident in Wayne County, Indiana.

“Our heart goes out to Brian and his family in this very difficult time. We know the prayers of the entire hockey family, including our Olympic Team, are with the Burke family.”
