TONIGHT’S KEY RUN: Oklahoma City led 63-54 with 6:42 to go in the 3rd quarter. Dallas then went on a 22-8 run through the 11:47 mark of the 4th to take a 76-71 lead.

NOTES

Matt Carroll was moved to the inactive list (stomach virus) prior to tonight’s game.

Josh Howard scored 9 1st quarter points tonight for his 2nd-highest points total in a quarter this season (11, 2nd, at HOU 12/31). A season ago, Howard was often a 1st half catalyst for the Mavericks, scoring 10+ 1st quarter points on 17 occasions.

Jason Kidd recorded 4 steals for his 6th 4-steal game of the season (previously 4 vs. HOU, 12/18).

Kidd recorded his 2nd straight double-double (11th of the season) with 11 points (4-8 FGs, 2-5 3FGs, 1-3 FTs), 4 rebounds, 11 assists, 2 blocks and 38 minutes.

With 2 3-pointers tonight, Kidd is now tied for 5th place all-time on the NBA’s 3-pointers made list with 1,559 for his career (matching Glen Rice).

Dirk Nowitzki scored a game-high 32 points (9-18 FGs, 14-15 FTs) with 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 39 minutes. The game was his 11th (2nd consecutive) of the season with 30 points. Over the last 2 games, Nowitzki is averaging 31.0 points, 10.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.0 steals and 41.0 minutes while shooting 50.0% (20-40 FGs) from the floor, 50.0% (1-2 3FGs) from 3 and 95.5% (21-22 FTs) from the line.

The Mavericks made and attempted season-highs from the FT line. They finished the game by going 84.6% (33-39 FTs) from the stripe. Previously, they had made season-highs 27-34 in the opener vs. WAS (10/27).

Dallas improves to 11-2 in games following a loss - the best record in the NBA.

Dallas forced 11 steals to improve to 9-1 when recording 10+ steals.

Kevin Durant scored 30 points (6-18 FGs, 4-5 3FGs, 14-16 FTs) with a season0high 13 rebounds (all DR) in 38 minutes.

Tonight’s attendance was 20,064 fans (19,200 capacity). The Mavs have sold out 337 consecutive regular season games at AAC. Dallas currently owns the longest running sellout streak in the NBA. Dallas has sold out all 41 games in each of the past seven seasons.
