Jets Rally for the Playoffs

Friday Festivities in NYC Feature a JetBlue Airways Trip to San Diego Giveaway at Pep Rally, Former Players at Jets Shop and Lighting the Empire State Building Green and White

The New York Jets invite fans to celebrate the team’s trip to the 2009 postseason Friday in Manhattan. The day features Jets alumni and Flight Crew appearances at the Jets Shop in New York City, lighting the Empire State Building green and white and culminating in a playoff rally on the plaza outside of SportsNet New York’s studio.

Former Jets greats Mark Gastineau and Joe Klecko will sign autographs and take photos with fans at the Jets Shop flagship store, 437 Madison Avenue at 50th Street, beginning at 10 a.m. Flight Crew cheerleaders Laura V. and Anne-Marie will be signing autographs. Fans who spend $100 or more at the Jets Shop on Friday will receive a $10 Jets Shop Gift Card for future purchase.

At 11 a.m. former Jets wide receiver Wayne Chrebet will join Empire State Building officials to flip the switch and light the world-famous icon’s tower lights Jets’ green and white to wish the team good luck in the game against the San Diego Chargers this Sunday.  The Empire State Building will stay lit green and white through the weekend.

Gastineau, Klecko and Chrebet will all meet at the playoff rally at SNY’s studio plaza located at Sixth Avenue and 51st Street, at noon. Fans are welcome to join former Jets players and Flight Crew members, listen to a live concert by Ready in 10 and pick up giveaways from the team and 1050 ESPN Radio. One lucky fan will have the chance during the rally to win a trip for two on the team’s Official Airline, JetBlue Airways, to see the Jets take on the Chargers in San Diego on Sunday.

The Jets Playoff Rally is presented by JetBlue Airways.
