NEW YORK – Dec. 10, 2009 – Olympic gold medalists Shaun White, Kelly
Clark and Hannah Teter take on snowboarding’s many elite as NBC Sports
presents coverage of the U.S. Snowboarding Grand Prix from Copper
Mountain, Colo.  The competition is the first stop in the series where
athletes will compete for a spot at the Vancouver Olympic Winter Games.
NBC Sports coverage begins Sunday at 2 p.m. ET.



ANNOUNCERS: Pat Parnell, Tina Dixon and Todd Richards of the NBC Sports
Olympic snowboarding broadcast team will call the action.

NBC Sports presents taped coverage of the USA Swimming Short Course
National Championships this Saturday at 2 p.m. ET from the Weyerhaueser
King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way, Wash.



Coverage features performances by 2008 Olympic gold medalist Rebecca
Soni (Plainsboro, N.J.), 2004 Olympian and 2009 NCAA Swimmer of the
Year Dana Vollmer (Granbury, Texas), 2008 Olympian Nathan Adrian
(Bremerton, Wash.) as well as American record-holder Katie Hoff
(Towson, Md.).



Also competing is four-time Olympic gold medalist Kosuke Kitajima of
Japan. Kitajima competed in the 100y and 200y breast against 2008
Olympian Eric Shanteau (Lilburn, Ga.) and Bulgarian Olympian Mike
Alexandrov (Champaign, Ill.).



Other top American swimmers at Short Course Nationals included
Olympians Margaret Hoelzer (Huntsville, Ala.), Garrett Weber-Gale
(Milwaukee, Wis.), Peter Vanderkaay (Rochester, Mich.) and Caroline
Burckle (Louisville, Ky.). World Championship silver medalist Tyler
Clary (Riverside, Calif.) and World Cup winner Jessica Hardy (Long
Beach, Calif.) also swam in the meet.

NBC’s team of Craig Hummer, Rowdy Gaines, and Alex Flanagan will call the action.
