"SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL" NO. 1 PRIMETIME SHOW THIS NFL SEASON; UNPRECEDENTED THROUGH THIS POINT IN SEASON

SNF Ranked No. 1 in Viewers, Households and Key Demos During Football Season

SNF Is Most Watched NFL Primetime Package in 12 Years

Pats-Colts Draws 22.4 Million Viewers; 5th Game This Season With More Than 20 million Viewers

NEW YORK – Nov. 18, 2009 – NBC’s “Sunday Night Football,” through Week
10 of the NFL season, now stands as the most watched primetime program
and is No. 1 in household rating and in the coveted Adult 18-49 demo,
unprecedented for the NFL in primetime at this point in the football
season.  “Sunday Night Football” is also the most watched NFL primetime
package in 12 years.

The Colts 35-34 come-from-behind victory over the Patriots on Sunday
Night was seen by 22.4 million viewers, the second straight SNF game
with more than 20 million viewers and the fifth this season – most of
any SNF season.  The 22.4 million is up 27 percent over last year’s
Week 10 game (Giants-Eagles, 17.6 million) and stands as the second
most viewed SNF game of the season trailing only the Giants-Cowboys in
the much-hyped debut of the new Cowboys stadium (24.8 million viewers,
the most watched NFL primetime regular-season game in 12 years).  The
household rating for the Pats-Colts game was a 13.7/21 up 25 percent
from last year’s Week 10 game (11.0/18).

SNF NO. 1 PRIMETIME SHOW THROUGH 10 WEEKS: Since the beginning of the
football season (9/10/09-11/15/09) “Sunday Night Football” ranks as the
top program in all of primetime television in viewers  (19.8 million),
household rating (12.0/19) and the key advertising demos including
Adults 18-49 (7.8), Adults 18-34 (6.9), Adults 25-54 (8.4), Men 18-49
(10.7), Men 18-34 (9.2) and Men 25-54 (11.5).  This marks the first
time in history that a primetime NFL package (MNF on ABC, 1970-2005,
SNF on NBC, 2006-Present) has ranked first in each category at this
point in the season.

Since the start of the primetime television season (9/21/09-11/15/09),
“Sunday Night Football” is the No. 1 primetime program in Adults 18-49
and ranks No. 2 in viewers and households only behind NCIS.  This also
marks the first time in history that a primetime NFL package has ranked
this high in these categories at this point in the primetime television
season.  The official primetime television season started on Sept. 21
and does not include NBC’s first three games, all of which surpassed 20
million viewers, including the aforementioned Giants-Cowboys game.

MOST VIEWED NFL PRIMETIME PACKAGE IN 12 YEARS:  Through 10 weeks (nine
SNF games) “Sunday Night Football” is off to the best start for any
primetime NFL package since the 1997 season of “Monday Night Football”
