Head of Olympic Governing Body Organization to Speak At TEAMS Conference & Expo in New Orleans

NGBs Execs Have Called for Immediate Resignations of USOC CEO and Chair

Stephen Ducoff, president and CEO of the Association of Chief Executives for Sports (ACES), will discuss his organization’s October 7 vote of no-confidence in the leadership of the USOC at the TEAMS Conference & Expo on Tuesday, October 13, in New Orleans.  The vote specifically called for the immediate resignation of the U.S. Olympic Committee’s chairman of the board and acting chief executive officer. Presented by SportsTravel magazine, TEAMS is the world’s largest gathering of event organizers and travel planners from the sports-event industry.

ACES announced their request for the immediate resignation of Chairman of the Board Larry Probst and Acting CEO Stephanie Streeter after tabulating the results of a 63-question survey of the 46 chief executives of the U.S. National Governing Bodies (NGBs). The survey showed that the NGBs, who represent more than 13 million members and sanction nearly 60,000 events annually, had lost trust in the USOC’s current management.
