Two golds, two silvers for Korea in recurve at the archery world championships
For the first time in the history of the world archery championships, the nations from the five continents earned medals!
The individual finals were shot today at the World Archery Championships in Ulsan. In the recurve division, LEE Chang-Hwan (KOR) and JOO Hyun-Jung (KOR) emerged as the big winners! With four medals out of a possible six, Korea showed their domination over the recurve division one more time.
In compound Reo WILDE (USA), who earned his 10th medal at world championships, and Albina LOGINOVA (RUS) are the new world champions! It’s the second gold medal for both of them after their team gold yesterday!
Korea took also both team recurve titles in team. The men’s title came after a hard fought match against France.
In total, 12 nations from the five continents shared the medals.
