Basketball: Turkey 2010 Ticket Sales Start Today

2010 FIBA World Championship


GENEVA, Switzerland//ISTANBUL, Turkey/28th August 2009 – The Local Organising Committee and FIBA have announced that tickets for the world’s greatest basketball event, the 2010 FIBA World Championship, go on sale today - exactly one year before the event tips off in Turkey.


The first wave of ticket sales for the 2010 FIBA World Championship (28th August to 12th September 2010) can only be purchased online, on the official event website: http://www.turkey2010.fiba.com/tickets.


The world renowned and credible ticket agency Biletix/Ticketmaster has been appointed as the official and exclusive ticketing company for the event.
 

The first wave of ticket sales for the 2010 FIBA World Championship will continue for one month (starting today, 28th August, and finishing on 28th September) and a limited number of seats will be available during this period.


These limited first-wave tickets will be sold with a 10% discount until the last day of EuroBasket 2009, which is the 20th of September.


Additional waves of ticket sales will follow in 2009.
