Draw for the FIFA U-17 World Cup Nigeria 2009 to be held in Abuja on 7 August
The draw in Abuja will determine the fixtures for the group stage of the competition, which will be played from 24 October to 15 November 2009
The Official Draw for the FIFA U-17 World Cup Nigeria 2009
will take place in the International Conference Centre (ICC) in Abuja
on Friday, 7 August 2009 (20.00h local time and CET), with the presence
of FIFA Vice-President and Chairman of the Organising Committee of the
FIFA U-17 World Cup, Jack A. Warner.
The
24 teams participating in the tournament are: Iran, Japan, Korea
Republic and United Arab Emirates (Asian zone); Algeria, Burkina Faso,
Gambia and Malawi (African zone); Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain,
Switzerland and Turkey (European zone); Costa Rica, Honduras, Mexico
and USA (North, Central America and Caribbean zone); New Zealand
(Oceania); Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Uruguay (South American
zone); and Nigeria who have qualified automatically as the host
country.

Any media representatives who want to attend the draw on site have to:
1) Register on the FIFA Media Channel by filling in the ‘New user registration form’ on http://media.fifa.com (in case you have already registered you simply have to log in)
2) Fill in the media accreditation form that can be found on the FIFA Media Channel.
