“Sportaccord is a great opportunity because it brings together all of the leaders of the international sport federations in one place. We appreciate what a great opportunity it is for us to interact with them and to learn about the issues affecting sport,” said Ryan. “We hope to explain how we have taken their feedback and incorporated it into our plans for the Games.”
Sportaccord is an annual international sports convention that brings a number of groups together to discuss the sports industry and its key topics and challenges. The event is organized by the General Association of International Sports Federations (GAISF), the Association of Summer Olympic International Federations (ASOIF) and the Association of the International Olympic Winter Sports Federations (AIOWF), as well as the International Olympic Committee Executive Board. The conference provides a valuable opportunity for bidding and Host Cities, architects, sports lawyers, broadcasters, games organizing committees, rights holders and others to attend meetings and seminars, and network with key players in the international sports movement.
