THE FIRST EVER FMX TEAM ENERGY CUP KICK STARTS THE 2009 ASA ACTION SPORTS WORLD TOUR

LOS ANGELES (March 16, 2009) – The industry’s first ever freestyle motocross team competition, the FMX Team Energy Cup, will kick off ASA Entertainment’s (ASA) 2009 ASA Action Sports World Tour with a stop at Southern California’s Harrah’s Rincon Casino & Resort.  From April 17-19, the world’s top freestyle motocross pros will battle as teams in best trick, best run and best whip competitions for the title of Best FMX Team.

In addition to fierce freestyle motocross action, the weekend will also offer live concerts on the Maxell Music Stage, a special performance on Friday night by D.J. Paul Oakenfold, with special guests: Liquid Todd and Kenneth Thomas, launching the International Perfecto Tour; pool parties, and other VIP activities.  Tickets to the FMX Team Energy Cup are on sale now at harrahsrincon.com or by calling 888-512-SHOW (7469) to charge tickets by phone.  Prices start at $25.00.  Weekend packages are also available and include all competitions, concerts, pool parties and VIP events. As a grand finale to the weekend, on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. several of the athletes will compete in a back-flip challenge, taking flight over several Harrah’s Rincon busses and performing their ‘sickest’ flips.  The most creatively executed back flip will win a cash bonus.  This event is free to the public and part of Sunday afternoon’s festivities, which start at noon with a reggae band pool party.   Fans must be 21 years of age or older to attend all competitions and weekend activities.
