COLLINGWOOD AND PRIOR LEAD VICTORY CHARGE

Slazenger ambassadors reach 218 total for England in West Indies

Slazenger are pleased to congratulate two of their brand ambassadors, Paul Collingwood and Matt Prior, on their batting total for England’s victory push against the West Indies in the final Test. Both players achieved centuries, as their partnership brought in a total of 218 runs for the side.

Collingwood reached his ninth test century, and went for 161 runs, his third highest Test score, and his second century of the series. Prior reached 131 not out in his comeback to the team, after missing the Fourth Test to see his newborn child back in England.

To achieve his batting totals, Collingwood uses the new Slazenger I-Blade from the 2009 Slazenger bat range. The I-Blade is Slazenger’s first inertial designed bat, with a crafted rear edge profile to increase bat torsion stability. This provides players with improved shot accuracy and performance.

Matt Prior uses the new Air Blade bat which has been developed for the player who demands ultra lightweight blades for a destructive performance. This model has been developed with a concave back spine to deliver incredible pick up and manoeuvrability for all round stroke play.

The 2009 collection also offers a wide range of clothing and luggage, balls and footwear.

Slazenger’s brand ambassadors include England internationals Paul Collingwood, Matthew Prior, Adil Rashid and South Africa’s Jacques Kallis.
