SIRIUS XM RADIO TO OFFER EXTENSIVE COVERAGE OF 2009 NFL SCOUTING COMBINE
SIRIUS NFL Radio channel will provide 39 hours of live coverage Thursday through Monday from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis
NEW YORK –February 18, 2009 - SIRIUS XM Radio (NASDAQ: SIRI), The Official Satellite Radio Partner of the NFL, announced today that it will provide listeners with extensive coverage of the annual NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, IN, on SIRIUS NFL Radio, the only radio channel dedicated to the NFL 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
SIRIUS NFL Radio - which is available nationwide on SIRIUS channel 124 and on XM channel 124 with the “Best of SIRIUS” programming package - will provide a total of 39 hours of coverage over five days from inside Lucas Oil Stadium, where hundreds of NFL prospects will be put through drills, tests and interviews and representatives from all 32 NFL franchises will measure players’ preparedness and abilities before they attempt to graduate from the college game to the NFL.
The Scouting Combine is truly the NFL’s annual job fair for prospective players and SIRIUS NFL Radio will be on-site offering fans up-to-the-moment reports on prospects; interviews with players, team executives, coaches and talent evaluators; and analysis by SIRIUS XM’s lineup of NFL experts. SIRIUS XM’S NFL Combine coverage will air Thursday, February 19 through Monday, February 23 exclusively on SIRIUS NFL Radio.
