CISA and Africa, the first stage of the race towards 2016

The first step of their campaign following consignment of the bid files will be in Egypt on the occasion of the third edition of the Africa International Sport Convention (CISA).

 

The road to the 2016 Olympic Games, for the four cities bidding to host this greatest sporting event of all, will start in Alexandria. Actually, at the very moment of submitting their bidding files to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) on 12th February 2009, the four contenders, Chicago, Madrid, Rio and Tokyo will be walking the first step of their campaign in Egypt on the occasion of the third edition of the Africa International Sport Convention (CISA). This happening, a First for the African continent, which owes it to the CISA event, initiated by Jappo SA  an event and sport management consulting company led by Olympic expert Diamil Faye. CISA is today standing as a major fixture on he African sporting calendar.

These four cities will take advantage of this opportunity provided by CISA to exhibit in the Sport Expo and promote their bid.

As one of the main component of CISA, the Sport Expo enables bid cities and organizations and companies working in the field of sport to sell their products and /or services or simply make their own promotion through the visibility opportunity offered.

Africa will be, for three days (12th to 14th February 2009), the starting point of a long and tedious race whose ultimate goal is to finally be granted the so much wanted hosting of the 2016 Games, the fourth of the  of the new millennium.

For this 3rd edition, a record number of participants will take part in CISA with over 350 participants expected and 7 International Olympic Committee members.
