Colorado Springs, January 22— The Colorado Springs Sports Corporation has elected its 2009 Board of Directors, a group that clearly underscores the organization’s role and mission in promoting, supporting and enhancing the city’s unique sports culture and membership.

 

The newest Board member is Gazette President and Publisher Steve Pope, while all others members have been re-elected for the coming year.

 

“We are proud to announce the roster of our Board of Directors,” said Chairman Dave Palenchar. “The men and women who will serve the Sports Corp and its mission and programs as volunteers represent all components of the city’s special reputation as the Amateur Sports Capital of America, and they will be a tremendous asset this year as we again bring the State Games of America to Colorado Springs, along with our other signature events and the diverse menu of sports events and organizations we support.”
