IOC Executive Board and announcement of the 2012 Youth Olympic Games Host City

EB is expected to take decisions on the three pending doping cases from the Beijing Games

The Executive Board (EB) of the
International Olympic Committee (IOC) will meet in Lausanne on 10 and
11 December 2008.  The meetings will be followed by the announcement of
the Host City of the very first Winter Youth Olympic Games on Friday 12
December.

 Executive Board – 10 & 11 December

The EB will hear the reports from the IOC commissions and
directors, as well as updates on preparations for the forthcoming
Olympic Games in Vancouver, London and Sochi, and the 2010 Youth
Olympic Games in Singapore. The EB is expected to take decisions on the
three pending doping cases from the Beijing Games and to be updated on
ongoing disciplinary procedures. Also on the agenda: the Olympic
Congress and the sports programme of the 2010 Youth Olympic Games.

 

Announcement of the 2012 Winter Youth Olympic Games Host City – 12 December
The announcement will take place at the IOC Headquarters in Vidy, and will be broadcast live on www.olympic.org from 11 a.m. to 12.15 p.m. GMT.
