Anheuser-Busch extends LPGA sponsorship

Anheuser-Busch’s support of the LPGA comes via the Michelob ULTRA brand


 
 

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., Nov. 19,   2008   – The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) and Anheuser-Busch   today announced that Michelob ULTRA will continue as the official beer of the   LPGA through 2009.

 

As an official   sponsor of the LPGA, Anheuser-Busch and the LPGA have been working together   since 1994, and are excited to continue their long-standing marketing   relationship.

Anheuser-Busch’s   support of the LPGA comes via the Michelob ULTRA brand, which appeals to   adult beer drinkers who lead active lifestyles, making the brand a perfect   fit for adult fans of the LPGA.   Through its sponsorship of the LPGA,   Michelob ULTRA reaches fans via promotions on LPGA.com, Michelob ULTRA 19th   Hole hospitality programs at select LPGA Tour events and at retail with   LPGA-themed point of sale materials and advertising.

Michelob   ULTRA is the title sponsor of the LPGA Tour’s Michelob ULTRA Open at   Kingsmill, played in May at the Kingsmill Resort & Spa in Williamsburg, Va.    In 2008, Annika Sorenstam earned her 72nd career LPGA Tour victory   at the $2.2 million event, which is among the highest purses on the LPGA   Tour.
