(SFC) The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has put out a notice to media that an announcement will be posted on their website later today without revealing exact details.

However the Los Angeles Times has anticipated the news that a deal has finally been struck and that the City of Angels will definitely opt for 2028 instead. This leaves Paris to take the 2024 Games nailing their 100 year anniversary since hosting in 1924 and giving them breathing room to build the needed Olympic Village and aquatic center.

Mayor Eric Garcetti has revealed recently in the press that the IOC has pretty much made them a deal that would be "stupid" to pass up. It is likely this will include extra funding for operations and a boost to youth programs in Southern California.

LA 2024 has now put out a notice that the news will be shared at a 5pm PDT press conference with Mayor Garcetti, City Council President Herb Wesson and Bid Chairman Casey Wasserman and they will be joined by the US Women's Soccer Team at the Stubhub Center Stadium in Carson, California.

Finalizing both the 2024 and 2028 editions would be a win-win-win for both Paris and Los Angeles and the IOC.
