Olympics: AccorHotels becomes latest Paris 2024 bid sponsor

(SFC) Global hospitality group, AccorHotels has signed on as the 11th Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games bid sponsor. The new addition strengthens the city's bid for the 2024 Games and brings their total sponsorship revenue to approximately 24.6 million USD. Paris 20254's overall target is around 33.5 million USD and will be reached in the coming weeks and months as the final set of sponsors are set to be confirmed.

The Paris 2024 bid campaign is supported by each partner through programs aim to enhance corporate and public engagement. AccorHotels has a portfolio that if full of international and hotel brands, which range from luxury and economy and span across 92 countries worldwide. With their global expertise and knowledge, AccorHotels will help the bid's ambition of welcoming the world to Paris.

Paris is a global leader in tourism and it's great to have the backing of such a prestigious company from the international hospitality industry that is active in 92 countries. AccorHotel's expertise and experience in working in synergy with international sports events like Roland Garros and the Tour de France are also a huge asset for our bid," expressed Paris 2024 Co-Chairman, Bernard Lapasset.

Deeply rooted in French society, AccerHotels employs 30,000 people in the city. In 2015, AccorHotels Arena, which is France's largest multi-purpose auditorium, opened in Paris. Since then, it has played host to some of the world's biggest arts, sports, and music events.

During the Games, the state-of-the-art venue will be named Paris Arena I and host Olympic Basketball competition's final phase, along with Olympic Judo. Also, during the Paralympic Games, it will host the Wheelchair Basketball competition.

In addition, AccorHotels works in partnership with various sports institutions and events, such as the Tour de France, national sports federations, and the iconic French Open (Roland Garros).
