(SFC) For the seventh year running, EventScotland will be a Silver Partner for the SportAccord Convention. EventScotland is a team within VisitScotland's Events Directorate.

"SportAccord Convention is an incredibly valuable event for Scotland, as we continue to bid for and stage some of the world's most prestigious events properties. It allows us to showcase Scotland's capacity for hosting sporting occasions of tremendous significance and our capability in pushing the bar even higher in their delivery." He went on to say, "We look forward to discussing our future vision with colleagues at the Convention in April," expressed VisitScotland's Director of Events, Paul Bush OBE.

The EventScotland team will work conjunction with partners to coordinate an engaging exhibition. The exhibition aims to represent the best of Scotland's event industry. The team will be there to welcome visitors to their Stand (No. 133) and help raise the international profile of Scotland across industry and sport.

SportAccord Convention Managing Director, Nis Hatt stated, "Over the years, Scotland has continued to win and host world class events. Its success is self-evident with the growing list of past and future sporting events, placing Scotland firmly on the international map as a desirable 'go-to' destination for sport."

"EventScotland's success is a great example of the opportunities and value the SportAccord Convention brings to host cities, by helping to put them in front of key decision-makers for sport," added Director Hatt.

In addition, the ever-popular City Forum will continue to be hosted by SportAccord Convention. The event will be filled with case studies, critical insights, and practical advice. Cities that are looking to host sporting events should take advantage of this unique opportunity.

The annual SportAccord Convention is held in a different city every year. This year's Convention will be held in Lausanne, Switzerland at the SwissTech Convention Center from April 17-22. This exclusive Convention brings together key decision-makers from sport and industry to network, meet, and strategically shape regional, national, and global agendas. The 6-day event is expected to draw 2,000 delegates.

The Convention also plays host to annual general meetings of governing bodies and will welcome an International Olympic Committee delegation.
