(SFC) The Los Angeles 2024 bid to host the Summer Games released an inspirational video to fan the fires of the Olympic Dream gathering a myriad of local personalities driving home the message.

The film was released as a movie trailer at select Regal Theaters across Southern California asking "Where will you be in 2024?" and celebrates its creative community this weekend at the 88th Academy Awards.

It was revealed online and in select Regal Theaters in Southern California, including Regal LA Live Stadium 14 - located at the heart of LA2024's proposed Downtown Cluster.

Right on the heels of the launch of the new logo and Follow the Sun slogan, Olympic gold medalists Kobe Bryant, Janet Evans and Greg Louganis; actor Will Ferrell; actor and Honest Company founder Jessica Alba; Angel City Games founder and Paralympic hopeful Ezra French; chef and restaurateur Roy Choi; and Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti all stand up for the City of Angels.

"LA is a city that inspires dreamers and thrives on optimism," noted LA 2024 Chairman Casey Wasserman. "Our bid's vision is as bold as the sun that nurtures our city every day and this new brand film perfectly showcases the culture of innovation shared by all Angelenos.

"Our bid, like our city, is based on relentless reinvention and new beginnings. We are united by a common goal - to help the Olympic Movement create a new Games for a new era. I hope this film inspires the world to Follow the Sun to Los Angeles in 2024."

LA 2024 Vice Chair and Director of Athlete Relations Janet Evans added, "Our brand film highlights LA's incredible diversity, but more importantly, its spirit of unity.  Latest polls show that 88% of Angelenos are in favor of LA 2024, and we can see this support and passion for the Games come to life in our brand film. LA and Southern California are already home to over 1,000 Olympians and Paralympians.

"It is also inspiring to see the young Olympic and Paralympic hopefuls in this film sharing their own dreams. We hope they will be standing on the podium in Los Angeles in 2024."

Ken Thewes, Regal Cinemas Chief Marketing Officer, said, "At Regal Cinemas we take our responsibility to support the communities in which we operate extremely seriously. We are delighted to be making a contribution to LA2024's campaign to bring the Olympic Games back to Los Angeles, because as the LA84 Foundation continues to show to this day, hosting the Games is the most powerful stimulus for positive, long-term change in communities.

"And with one of our flagship theaters in the LA LIVE entertainment complex located at the heart of LA 2024's proposed Downtown Cluster, we look forward to collaborating with LA 2024 as the bid progresses."

Los Angeles is bidding against Budapest, Paris and Rome to host the 2024 summer Games and the final city will be chosen in Lima, Peru in 2017 at the IOC session.
