Olympics: Rome 2024 set to reveal Games bid details at Palazzo dei Congressi Eur

(SFC)  The Rome 2024 bidding committee announced that they will publicly unveil their details of the candidature for the Olympic and Paralympic Games on February 17th, 10 am, at the Palazzo dei Congressi Eur to over a thousand guests. The event will be livestreamed and include the President of the Rome 2024 Committee Luca di Montezemolo, CONI President Giovanni Malagò, the Vice President of the Bid Committee Luca Pancalli, General Coordinator Diana Bianchedi and athletes relations manager Fiona May.

On the same day the bid plan will be formally submitted to the IOC and Rome is bidding against Budapest, Los Angeles, and Paris to stage the summer Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The bid will involve institutions, investors, municipalities, the media, companies, universities and the sport world and they will explain in detail their plan for the Eternal City.

They will also talk about the vision and the budget, the effect on employment and the opportunities and benefits that hosting the Games could bring to the nation.
