Olympics: Los Angeles 2024 signs Banc of California as commercial bank for the bid

(SFC) Banc of California announced today that they have teamed up with Los Angeles 2024 to provide banking services for the Olympic bid. Banc of California, N.A., is a wholly owned subsidiary of Banc of California, Inc.

Forbes Magazine named Banc of California on their 2016 List of the 100 Best Banks in America, ranking as California's top performing bank.

Bid Chairman Casey Wasserman said, "Our bid is about the best of Los Angeles - innovation, creativity and sustainability. We are proud to partner with Banc of California to empower our Olympic dreams."

Chad Brownstein, Vice Chairman of Banc of California, added "Banc of California is thrilled to partner with LA 2024 to help bring the Olympic Games back to Los Angeles.

"We believe in partnering with organizations that strengthen our communities and empower our private businesses, entrepreneurs and homeowners to pursue their California Dreams.

"This bid, under the stewardship of Mayor Eric Garcetti, Casey Wasserman and Gene Sykes, will benefit Los Angeles' economy and strengthen our diverse community."

Los Angeles is bidding against Rome, Budapest and Paris to host the 2024 Summer Games. The final vote will take place in September 2017 at the IOC session in Lima, Peru.

**LAURA WALDEN has over twenty-five years of experience in the Olympic Movement, formerly at the European Olympic Committees with SportEurope under former IOC President Dr. Jacques Rogge and IOC Member Mario Pescante. She worked with the Rome 2004 and Turin 2006 Olympic bids and also managed PR & media for Dr. Jacques Rogge during his campaign for the presidency.
