(SFC) IOC member Mario Pescante and Rome 2024 General Coordinator Diana Bianchardi gave presentations today at a conference on the UN Resolution for the Olympic Truce. The meeting was held in the press room at the Rome Olympic Stadium located in the Italian Olympic Committee (CONI) compound.

The meeting was organized by Mario Pescante who also serves as the IOC Permanent Observer to the United Nations (UN) and included Riccardo Viola, President of the Lazio region of CONI, Tonino Mancuso, coordinator of the Lazio regional schools and seasoned Olympic journalist Piero Mei.

Over two hundred students from three high schools that include sports education attended the meeting then afterwards were able to go on a tour of the CONI Olympic compound.

The Olympic facilities were built for the Rome 1960 summer Games and are a vibrant legacy to the city as well as a focal part of the Rome 2024 Olympic bid.
